Okay so that might be a little dramatic. But in all honesty, store-brand infant formula really helped us out.
I have mentioned before on this blog how the little E-rockstar decided that he hated nursing after about 8 months and we had to start buying formula. It was really devastating to me because I enjoyed the connection I had with my little baby boy and I felt totally rejected by him. And then to top it off, formula was expensive!
Thankfully, we found out that our grocery store had a store-brand that was half the cost with double the amount of formula. It was such a relief to be able to get more for our money after already having a hard time with the situation.
And now, to make the previous situation a little sweeter, I just found out that store-brand infant formulas just won a false-advertising lawsuit against Enfamil. Enfamil had recently advertised that their formula was better and more nutritious than store-brands. When in fact that claim is false since store-brand formulas have the same nutrients at the same levels as Enfamil.
So there you have it!! Not only are store-brand formulas considerably cheaper than name-brand formulas, you are getting the same vitamins and nutrients you would with name-brand.Amazing deal!
I'm just glad they were around when we really needed it. It helped ease a burden that could have been even more difficult.
